Sandy El Bitar is a Lebanese Canadian multidisciplinary artist, community organizer and dramatherapist based in Montreal. Sandy mainly works in mental health where she uses tools from the expressive arts therapies, play, humour and breath work, in a trauma informed approach to navigate therapy sessions. On stage, Sandy uses humour to question, process and navigate the absurdities in life. Her comedy material is inspired from her personal life and work stories in hospitals, nursing homes, palliative and end of life care. She tackles heavy situations and emotions with lightness and wit. Sandy, also, does other things… but mostly, she likes to play!
